Ingredients:
- For Kofta:
- Mince 350 gms
- Ginger garlic 1 tsp heaved
- All spice 1 tsp
- Nutmeg quarter tsp grinded
- Maize q tsp grinded
- Chili powder 1 tsp heaved
- Onion raw grinded 1
- Brown onion 2 tbsp grinded
- Poppy seeds 1 tbsp roasted and grinded
- Gera, 1 tbsp grinded roasted
- Salt 1 tsp heaved
- Ingredients for masala:
- Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
- Chili powder 1.5 tsp
- Brown onion half cup
- Salt half tsp heaved
- Yogurt 1 cup
- Oil half cup
- All spice 1 tsp
- Kewra water 1 tbsp
- Yellow color a pinch
Method:
- for masala:
- Grind together poppy seeds and roasted gram.
- Marinate mince with ginger garlic chili powder salt all spice both the grinded onions and the grounded masala with nutmeg and maize.
- Put all in the chopper with mince and grind once again.
- Make tiny balls, out 4 glasses of water in a pan with 1 tsp slat and 1 bay leaf.
- When water starts boiling add the koftas in the water.
- Cook for 10 mins. Take out the koftas from the water and strain the stalk.
- Remove the bay leaf and add in your soaked rice with half tsp of whole cumin.
- Cover and cook rice till done.
- Keep aside.
- Method:
- Heat oil add brown onion with ginger garlic salt chili powder and yogurt.
- Fry well add koftas.
- Cook for 10 mins.
- Now give layers like we do for biryani.
- Put cooked rice when kofta mixture again rice sprinkle with kewra water mixed with yellow color.
- Leave it on dum for 15mins. Mix and serve.
