Fry Chana Daal By Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Bengal Gram Spilt ½ kg
  • Tomatoes250 gms
  • Finely Chopped Ginger 1 piece
  • Onion 1
  • Green Chilies 4
  • Garlic Cloves 4
  • Butter 100 gms
  • Red Chili (crushed) 4
  • Fenugreek Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds 2 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Oil 4 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. In a pan, add bengal gram split, turmeric and boil.
  2. When lentil are tender , removes from the stove.
  3. In separate pan,heat oil add onion and fry.
  4. Add green chilies, tomatoes, cumin seeds, Fenugreek seeds, crushed red chilies, salt and fry.
  5. Then add in lentil and mix well.
  6. Removes from the stove.

 

For Tempering:

  1. In a pan, heat butter add garlic and fry.
  2. Add cumin seeds and give tempering.
