Ginger Rice By Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Rice 2 cups
  • Green Chilies (julienned) 8
  • Ginger (finely chopped) 2 tbsp
  • Soya Sauce 1 tsp
  • White Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Chicken Powder 1 tbsp
  • Spring Onion Leaves (chopped) ½ cup

 

Method:

  1. Wash rice and boil it with salt and 1 tbsp white vinegar.
  2. Boil till they are ¾ done, drain water and leave it to simmer.
  3. Heat 1 cup oil in a wok and fry ginger and green chilies, add rice to it with 1 tsp soya sauce, 1 tso sugar and 1 tbsp chicken powder.
  4. Mix well.
  5. Lastly add spring onion leaves before serving.
