Pita Bread

Ingredients:

  • All Purpose Flour ½ kg
  • Yeast 1-1/2 tbsp
  • Baking Powder 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Egg 1
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Take a luke warm water add 1-1/2 tbsp of yeast and 1 tsp of sugar mix it well until the sugar is dissolve and then leave for 15 minutes.
  2. When the yeast mixture is  raised take a mixing bowl add ½ kg of all purpose flour add to taste salt
  3. Add 1 egg and then add 2 tsp of baking powder mix it well to make a dough cover the dough on a plastic cling
  4. Place the dish in any warm place.
  5. Take it out the dough and fold it with help of hands and make small balls roll it thickly with rolling pin.
  6. Take a oven proof tray grease with oil and set it to the tray and place the tray into preheated oven
  7. Bake it for 10 minutes on 200 C
  8. Take it out in a oven and serve it hot. Now pita bread is ready.
