Matka Pir Biryani Recipe by Shireen Anwar at Masala Mornings

Ingredients
Rice                        ½ kg boiled with salt
Mutton                     ½ kg
Ginger Garlic paste         1tbsp
Whole Spices            1 tbsp
Bay Leaves                2
Whole Red chilies (dried)    4
Chili Powder                2 tsp
Salt                        1 ½ tsp
Yogurt                    1 cup
Yellow Food Color         ¼ tsp
Oil                         ½ cup
Ghee                     2 tbsp
Salt                        1 ½ tsp

Method:
Heat ½ cup oil, add ginger garlic paste, fry for 3 minutes add mutton with seasoning, whole spices, bay leaves and button red chilies, fry for 5 minutes, add yogurt, mix and cook for 5 minutes then add 2 cups water, cover and cook till mutton is tender and oil comes on top. Now add yogurt mixed with yellow color, cook for another 5 minutes till thick gravy is left, spread the boiled rice over the meat mixture, leave it on dum for 20 minutes.
