Lamb Chops with Honey Saffron Sauce by Shireen Anwar at Masala Mornings

Ingredients:

  • Lamb Chops                1 kg
  • Ginger Garlic                1 tbsp
  • Salt                        1 tsp
  • Black Pepper (crushed)    1 tsp
  • Black pepper (ground)        ½ tsp
  • Red Pepper (crushed)        1 tsp
  • Yogurt                    4 tbsp
  • Lemon Juice                2 tbsp
  • Cumin Seeds                1 tsp
  • Water                    1 ½ cup
  • For Honey & Saffron Sauce:
  • Honey                    3 tbsp
  • Saffron                    a pinch
  • Vinegar                    2-3 tbsp
  • Black Pepper (crushed)    1 tsp
  • Mint leaves (chopped)        1 tbsp
  • Fries                     to serve
  • Oil                        2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Marinate chops with all the ingredients
  2. Then cook it in 1 ½ cup water till the chops are tender and dry
  3. Add ¼ cup oil and fry chops for 5 minutes. Lastly give dum on coal.
  4. For sauce:
  5. Add all the ingredients in a saucepan and cook for 2 minutes, add in chopped mint leaves .
  6. Drizzle this sauce on chops and serve with fries.
