Ingredients:
Butter 200 gms
Caster sugar 1 cup
Flour 2 cups
Baking powder 2 tsp
Baking soda ¼ tsp
Pinch of salt
Cinnamon powder ½ tsp
Eggs 4
Vanilla essence 1 tsp
Butter milk ½ cup
Plum 4 cooked with ½ cup sugar and remove puree
Ingredients for base:
Butter 50 gms
Soft brown sugar 4 tbsp
Plump halved 10 to 12 seeded
Method:
Pre heat oven to 180 degrees C. place a 9 inch round cake pan on low heat with butter, brown sugar, cinnamon powder. Stir with a spatula till sugar dissolves. Turn of flame. Brush butter on the sides and spread with plum halved. Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy adding in 1 egg at a time beating well after each addition. Add in essence. Start adding in the stiffed dry ingredients alternating with butter milk. Lastly fold in the plum puree. Pour batter in the prepared pan bake for 50 mins.
