Chicken Haleem by Tahir Chaudary

Ingredients:

  • 500 grm chicken ( thigh or leg pcs)
  • 1.1/2 cup Daliya (soaked over night)
  • 4 tbsp Daal mash ( soaked over night)
  • 2 tbsp Daal channa ( soaked)
  • 2 tbsp Daal masoor ( soaked)
  • 3 medium onion ( sliced)
  • 1 tbsp garlic chopped
  • 1 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp red chilli powder
  • 1 tbsp red chilli flakes
  • 1 tsp turmeric
  • 1/8 tsp soda by carb
  • 1 tbsp Taara garm masala
  • 1 tsp Taara chat masala
  • 1 cup oil (to brown onion)
  • Garnish:
  • 2 tbsp mint leaves chopped
  • 2 tbsp green chillies chopped
  • 2 tbsp green coriander chopped
  • 2 tbsp ginger chopped
  • 2 tbsp Taara chat masala
  • 4 lemon (cut into half)

Method:

  1. Boil Daliyya , Daal mash, Daal channa, Daal masoor with 1/8 tsp soda by carb and 4 cup of water on slow flame
  2. Till they are cooked well, then put them in food processor and mix for few seconds ( do not make paste).
  3. Put this mixture aside.
  4. Meanwhile cook chicken with ginger, garlic
  5. Add all ground spices and 2 cup of water till chicken is soft and water dries up.
