Achari Mash ki Daal By Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Bengal Gram Split (boiled) 1 cup
  • White Lentil (boiled) ½ cup
  • Garlic (chopped) 2 tsp
  • Tomato Paste 250 gms
  • Green Chilies 6
  • Coriander Leaves ½ bunch
  • Chaat Masala 2 tsp
  • Tamparind Pulp 4 tbsp
  • Red Chili 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
  • Fennel Seeds 1tsp
  • Cinnamon seeds 1 tsp
  • Nigella Seeds ½ tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 2 tbsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Curry Leaves 6

 

Method:

  1. In a pan, heat oil add garlic and fry.
  2. Now add cinnamon seeds, nigella seeds, cumin seeds, fennel seeds and curry leaves.
  3. When aroma comes add tomato paste and tamparind pulp.
  4. Then add red chili, turmeric, salt, curry leaves and fry.
  5. Add both lentils and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In the end, sprinkles coriander leaves, chaat masala and serve.
