Angara Karahi Recipe by Shireen Anwar

Angara Karahi
Ingredients:
Chicken (16 pcs) 2 kg
Oil ¾ cup
Tomatoes (sliced) 5
Green chilies (chopped) 5
Ginger (julienned) 2 tbsp
Coriander leaves (chopped) ½ bunch
Onion (chopped) 1 cup
Ginger garlic 1 tbsp heaved
Yogurt ½ cup
Coriander (crushed) 1 tbsp
Cumin crushed 1 tbsp
Salt 1 tsp heaved
Button red chilies 10
Black pepper whole 1 tsp
Oil ½ cup
Method:
Roast together whole red chilies, cumin, coriander and black pepper. Cool and coarsely grind. Heat ¾ cup oil. Fry chicken for 10 mins and remove. In the same oil, put onion and fry till light golden. Add sliced tomatoes, ginger garlic, yogurt, salt and the roasted and crushed masala. Add in the fried chicken with yogurt. Cover and leave it to cook for 15 mins. Lastly add green chilies, coriander leaves, ginger julienne. Give dum of coal and serve.
