Beef Penang with Garlic Rice
Ingredients:
Beef (Boiled, salted) 250 g
Onion (Cubed) 1
Red chilies (Whole, soaked) 3-4
Green chilies 2-3
Coconut milk ¼ cup
Peanuts 2 tbsp
Ginger (Whole) 1 inch piece
Garlic clove 6-7
Coriander (Fresh) ½ bunch
Coriander seeds 1 tsp
Lemon juice 2 tbsp
Salt To taste
Basil leaves A few leaves
Brown sugar 1 tsp
Oil ¼ cup
Method:
Heat oil in a pan. Add onion cubes and fry till pinkish. Remove from oil.
To make the curry paste, blend red chilies, green chilies, ginger, garlic, coriander seeds, salt and lemon juice.
Add peanuts, basil leaves and the curry paste of these ingredients.
Now sauté everything quickly until fragrance is released.
Then add the beef and sauté for a few minutes.
Add the coconut milk or cream and mix well.
Let this mixture cook for 5-10 minutes.
Lastly, mix the fried onion.
Serve with garlic rice.
Garlic Rice
Ingredients:
Rice (Half boiled, salted) ½ kg
Soy sauce 1tbsp
Green garlic chopped ½ cup
Oil 1 tbsp
Method:
Heat oil and add all of the ingredients to a very hot wok.
Fry for 5 minutes.
Serve hot.
