Buddha’s Delight Recipe by Shireen Anwar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (Cubed) 500 g
  • Flour 2 tbsp
  • Corn Flour 2 tbsp
  • Egg 1
  • Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Black Pepper ½ tsp

 

Ingredients for Vegetables:

  • Mushrooms (Sliced) 4
  • Sweet Corn ½ cup
  • Ginger (Sliced) 1 inch
  • Garlic (Chopped) 1 tbsp
  • Whole Red Chilies 6
  • Capsicum (Julienned) 1
  • Carrot (Julienned) ½ cup
  • Cabbage (Julienned) 1 cup
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Vinegar 1 tbsp
  • Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Pepper ½ tsp
  • Water ½ cup
  • Corn Flour 1 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with salt, pepper, soy sauce, flour, corn flour and egg for 15 minutes.
  2. Then deep fry the chicken and keep aside.
  3. Heat the oil, sauté ginger and garlic in it for 1 minute.
  4. Add in all vegetables with seasoning, sauces, and fried chicken.
  5. Finally add in corn flour to thicken the sauce and serve.
