Chanay Ki Daal Aur Palak by Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Boiled Bengal Gram 300 grams
  • Spinach ½ kg
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Green Chilies 6-8
  • Crushed Red Chilies 1 tbsp
  • All Spice Powder 1 tsp
  • Crushed Coriander Seeds 1 tsp
  • Crushed Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Fenugreek Leaves 1-2 tbsp
  • Cream ½ cup
  • Oil 1 cup
  • Salt to taste

 

Method:

  1. Take a ½ kg of spinach steamed or boil it the chop it and let dry it and set aside.
  2. Now boiled the 300 grams of Bengal gram and serve it.
  3. Now take a cooking pan, heat the oil add 4 tomato cubes and add ginger garlic (slices) mix it and roasted until the tomatoes are soften.
  4. Now add 300 grams of boiled Bengal gram and ½ kg of boiled spinach and cook on a high flame then add 1 tbsp of crushed red chilies, 1 tsp of crushed coriander seeds, 1 tsp of crushed cumin seeds, 1 tsp of all spice powder, and 6-8 green chilies cook until the mixture leaves the oil.
  5. At last take it out garnish with 1-2 tbsp of fenugreek leaves and 1 cup of cream and serve it.
