Ingredients:
- Sela rice ½ kg soaked for 2 hours
- Chicken ½ kg 8 pcs
- Oil ½ cup
- Sliced onion ½ cup
- Green chilies whole 10
- Tomatoes 2 sliced
- Bay leaf 1
- Badiyan 1
- Cinnamon 1 stick
- Choti elaichi 3
- Whole white cumin ½ tsp
- Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
- Crushed coriander 1 tsp
- Chili powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tbsp heaped
- Chopped mint 15
- Coriander 2 tbsp
- Kewra 1 tsp
- All spice 1 tsp
- 2 Boiled eggs to serve
- Yogurt 1 cup heaped
Method:
- Soak rice for 2 hours.
- Heat ½ cup oil in a pan, add sliced onion, fry till light golden
- Add whole spices with tomatoes and all the dry seasonings with chicken, fry for 10 mins
- Add yogurt, fry for 10 mins, add water and salt, cook till water boiling
- Add soaked rice, cook till water nearly dries.
- Cover and leave it on dum for 20 mins.
- Lastly add chopped mint, coriander, kewra, all spice
- Serve in a platter, garnished with boiled eggs.
