Cheese Breadsticks Recipe by Tahir Chaudhary

Cheese Breadsticks
Ingredients
Dry Yeast 1 pkt
Sugar 1 tsp
Flour 500g
Oil 1 tbsp, extra for oiling
Salt 1 tsp
Cheese (Grated) 5 tbsp
Garlic (Chopped) 3 tsp
Green Chili (Chopped) 2 tbsp
Egg 1
For the rub:
Parmesan (Grated) 50g
Garlic Powder 2 tbsp
Italian Seasoning 1 tsp
Red Chili Flakes 2 tsp

Method:
Add the yeast and sugar to warm water in a large bowl.
Add the oil and then mix well.
Gradually add the remaining flour, salt, cheeses, garlic powder and the chopped chili until completely incorporated.
Turn the dough out onto a lightly oiled surface and knead for about 5-8 minutes.
Roll out the dough until at least 6″in long. Brush with the egg, sprinkle over the rub and gently press it in so that it sticks.
Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the breadsticks are lightly golden-brown and feel firm to the touch. Remove the breadsticks from the oven and leave to cool on the baking trays.
