Cheese Naan

Ingredients:

  • Flour 3 cups
  • Egg 1
  • Yeast 1½ tsp
  • Salt ½ tsp
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Milk Powder 2 tbsp
  • Clarified Butter (melted) ¼cup
  • Cheddar Cheese 1½ cup grated
  • Coriander Leaves 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. In a bowl put flour, egg, yeast, salt, sugar, powder milk.
  2. Knead with lukewarm water into a soft dough.
  3. Leave to rise for 1 hour until doubled.
  4. Punch down dough. Make into 5 or 6 balls.
  5. Spread to a saucer size.
  6. Fill with grated cheese mixed with coriander. Again form into a ball.
  7. Roll gently to a quarter plate size.
  8. Put on a greased oven tray. Bake on 190 degrees for 12 to 15 mins.
  9. Remove, brush with ghee and serve immediately.
