Cheese Pakoray by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Cottage Cheese 1 packet
  • Chickpea Flour 1 cup
  • Egg 1
  • Chicken Cube 1
  • Red Pepper (julienned) 4
  • Green Chilies (crushed) 6
  • Coriander Leaves 1 bunch
  • Soda Bi Carbonate a pinch
  • Yogurt 1 tsp
  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Oil as required
  • Salt to taste

Method:

  1. Mix together 1 cup chickpea flour, 1 egg, 1 tsp yogurt, a pinch of soda bi carb, 1 bunch chopped coriander leaves, 6 finely crushed green chilies, 1 chicken cube and salt. Add in luke warm water and mix well.
  2. Now add 1 packet grated cottage cheese.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and make pakoras from the ready mixture.
  4. When the pakoras turn golden brown, remove them on a tissue paper so that it absorbs the excess oil.
