Ingredients:
- Chicken (without bones) 1 kg
- Chicken Stock 1 kg
- Yogurt 250 gm
- Ginger Garlic Paste 4 tbsp
- Coriander Powder 2 tbsp
- Black Salt 2 tbsp
- Red chili Powder 2 tbsp
- Garam Masla Powder 2 tbsp
- Dried Ginger Powder 2 tbsp
- Aniseeds Powder 1 tbsp
- White Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
- Black Cumin Seeds ½ tsp
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Nutmeg ¼ tsp
- Mace ¼ tsp
- Loaf 3-4 pc
- Green Cardamom 3-4 pc
- Bay Leaves 1-2 pc
- Oil 1-1/2 cup
- Flour ½ cup
- Star Anise 1 pc
- Cinnamon 1 piece
- Citric Acid 1 pinch
For Decoration:
- Coriander ½ bunch
- Mint Leaves ½ bunch
- Onion Brown (Fried) 1-2 pc
- Green Chili 2-3 pc
- Lemon 1 pc
- Ginger 1 piece
Method:
- In pan heat oil, add bay leaves, cinnamon, star anise, green cardamom, loaf, black cumin seeds and white cumin seeds & make it crispy.
- Now add chicken pieces & cook it well.
- In a mixing bowl blend yogurt and add garam masala powder, red chili powder, aniseeds powder, dried ginger, turmeric, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, nutmeg powder, mace powder, black salt and salt.
- Mix it well & make a better
- Now add mixture in chicken & cook it well.
- Then add stock & mix it and cook it well.
- Then add citric acid.
- Dissolve flour in one cup water & make a mixture and add it in chicken.
- Stir continually.
- Till it get thick.
- Now dish out & sprinkle brown onion. Lemon, garlic, coriander and mint leaves.
- Tasty Chicken Nihari is ready.
