Chicken Saag

Ingredients:

  • Chicken                                500 gm
  • Onion                                    1
  • Green chili                          4
  • Crushed garlic                    2 tbsp
  • Butter                                   ½ cup
  • Clarified butter                 ½ cup
  • Red chili powder              1 tbsp
  • Turmeric                              ½ tsp
  • Salt                                         1-1/2 tsp
  • Whole red chilies             10-12
  • Mustard greens boiled  ½ kg
  • Spinach boiled                   ½ kg
  • Fenugreek leaves (boiled)           1 cup
  • Ginger finely chopped   2 tbsp
  • Milk                                       ½ cup
  • Yogurt                                   ½ cup
  • maize flour                         1 tbsp
  • ginger garlic paste            1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat oil and butter.
  2. Add onion , garlic, green chilies and whole red chilies fry well.
  3. When it brown add chicken, ginger garlic paste, salt, chili, turmeric and yogurt fry well.
  4. When it done add Mustard greens, Spinach and Fenugreek leaves cook well.
  5. Add ½ cup of water, milk , maize flour simmer for ½ hour.
  6. Dish out garnish with finely chopped ginger serve.
