Ingredients:
- Chicken ½ kg
- Rice 300 gm
- Onion 2
- Green chilies 4
- Tomatoes 2
- Ginger 1 piece
- Coriander seeds 1 tbsp
- Fennel seeds 1 tbsp
- Cumin seeds 1 tbsp
- Salt to taste
- Oil 125 ml
- Water 1 ¼ – 1 ½ glass
- Muslin cloth as required
Method:
- Heat 125 ml oil in a wok, add in 2 chopped onion and sauté till golden brown.
- Now add 1 piece of chopped ginger and ½ kg chicken pieces, fry well till its color is changed.
- Add 1 tbsp fennel seeds, 1 tbsp cumin seeds, 4 green chilies
- Add 2 chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp coriander seeds wrapped in a muslin cloth.
- Also add 1 ¼ to 1 ½ glass of water, cover and cook for 8 – 10 minutes.
- Now remove lid, add in 300 gm soaked rice with salt to taste. Cook till water dries.
- Simmer on low flame for 8 – 10 minutes. Then dish it out and serve with Raita.
