Cinnamon Roll Squares by Zarnak Sidhwa in Food Diaries

Ingredients:

  • Flour 1 cup
  • Baking powder    1/2 tsp
  • Ground cinnamon 2 tsp
  • Salt a pinch
  • Brown sugar 3/4 cup
  • Melted butter 1/3 cup
  • Vanilla essence 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1/4 cup
  • Egg 1
  • For Topping:
  • Sugar 1 tbsp
  • Ground cinnamon 1 tsp
  • For Glaze:
  • Icing sugar 1/2 cup
  • Milk roughly 2 tbsp
  • Vanilla essence 1/2 tsp

Method:

  1. Pre heat oven to 350f line your baking dish with parchment paper and grease lightly.
  2. In a bowl whisk the Flour, baking powder, baking soda salt and cinnamon.
  3. Take another bowl melt the butter in microwave.
  4. Stir in the sugar following with vanilla essence and egg.
  5. Fold in the flour mixture (batter will bi thick) until combined.
  6. Transfer into the baking pan a spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle over cinnamon sugar topping and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  8. Combine ingredients for glaze and drizzle over blondies once cool.
  9. Cut and serve make 16 small squares.
