Daal Saag by Rida Aftab in Tarka

Ingredients:

  • Green Gram    1 cup
  • Red Lentils     1 cup
  • Spinach    1 bunch
  • Green Chilies    6
  • Red Chili Powder  1 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder  2 tsp
  • Cream ½ cup
  • Tomatoes  250 gms
  • For Tempering:
  • Curry Leaves   10
  • Cumin Seeds  1 tbsp
  • Garlic Cloves   10
  • Oil      ½ cup
  • Onion   1

Method:

  1. Wash green gram, red lentils and spinach, cook on low flame.
  2. When they are tender add red chili powder, turmeric powder, ginger garlic paste, salt, tomatoes mix well.
  3. Now add green chilies.
  4. After this, remove from the stove and add cream.
  5. To prepare tempering, heat oil add onion until brown, curry leaves, cumin seeds, garlic cloves.
  6. In the end, pour tempering Daal Saag and serve it.
