Dilpasand Mutton by Chef Rida Aftab in Tarka

Ingredients:

  • Mutton                 1 kg
  • Yogurt              ½ kg
  • Poppy Seeds              1 tbsp
  • Sesame Seeds                1 tbsp
  • Desiccated Coconut            1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste            1 tbsp
  • Tomato Paste                1 cup
  • Almonds (slices)          2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder               1 tbsp
  • Salt                  1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder           1 tbsp
  • Garam Masala Powder            1 tsp
  • Finely Chopped Ginger         2 tbsp
  • Oil                 ½ cup
  • Onions (slices)         250 gms

Method:

 

  1. In pan, add mutton, water, salt, turmeric powder, and coriander powder, onion slices, ginger garlic paste and cook on low flame.
  2. When mutton tenders, low the flame.
  3. Dry roast poppy seeds, sesame seeds, and desiccated coconut and grind.
  4. Now add ground masala, tomato paste, yogurt and oil.
  5. Fry well and add water and let it cook for 10 minutes.
  6. Remove the mutton from the stove and sprinkle chopped ginger and garam masala powder.
