Double ka Meetha
Ingredients:
Bread Slices (big) 1
Sugar 2 kg
Nutmeg 20 grams
Mace 20 grams
Green Cardamoms 7
Khoya ½ kg
Almonds 50 grams
Pistachios 50 grams
Raisins 100 grams
Silver Leaf 2 packets
Clarified Butter as required
Method:
Cut bread into four equal squares and fry in clarified butter till they turn golden brown.
Heat milk in a saucepan, add nutmeg, mace, green cardamoms and ½ kg khoya. Mix and cook well.
Now spread fried bread slices in a pan, pour cooked milk mixture on the bread, and wait for the bread to absorb the liquid.
Garnish it with almonds, pistachios, khya and raisins. When the dish is cool enough place silver leaves on it and serve
