Drumsticks Ki Kadhi by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Drumsticks 6-8
  • Onions 2
  • Turmeric 1 tsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tbsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Tamarind Paste 1 cup
  • Sesame Seeds 2 tbsp
  • White Cumin 1 tsp
  • Poppy Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Coriander Seeds 2 tbsp
  • Coconut 1 small Piece
  • Green Chilies 4
  • Peanuts 10
  • Curry Leaves few
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 1 cup

 

Method:

  1. In a pan, take mutton, onion, ginger garlic paste, turmeric, 1 tbsp red chili, salt, oil and 2 cups of hot water and let it cook.
  2. Cut drumsticks into pieces.
  3. On tawa, add in oil, tbsp coriander, cumin, peanuts, coconut and poppy seeds. Cook it/
  4. When the water of the meat dries, add in drumsticks, roasted spices, curry leaves, green chilies and 1 cup tamarind paste.
  5. Cook it on a low flame.
