Ingredients:
Honey 1 cup
Yogurt ½ cup
Butter 6 oz ¾ cup
Granulated Sugar ½ cup
Eggs 3
Flour ¾ cup
Baking Powder 2 tsp
Baking Soda ¼ tsp
Salt ¼ tsp
Walnuts (chopped & roasted) 1 cup
Honey Icing:
Butter (softened) 3 oz
Honey 3 tbsp
Icing Sugar 1 1/3 cup
Method:
Combine honey and yogurt together in a bowl.
Beat butter and sugar until light and creamy.
Add eggs 1 at a time, beat well after each addition.
Mix flour honey and yogurt paste, baking powder, baking soda and salt together and add it to the butter mixture. Stir until all the ingredients are mixed well.
Add walnuts to this mixture.
Line and grease 9×9 inch pan with butter paper.
Pour the mixture and spread it evenly in the pan.
Bake on 175 degree for 1 hour, remove and cool it on a wire rack for 15-20 minutes.
For icing:
Beat butter and honey until its smooth, add icing sugar ¼ cup at a time, while beating , until it forms a spread like consistency. Spread the icing on the top of the cooled cake, Cut in square pieces and serve
