Hyderabadi Daal Chaawal

Ingredients:

  • Mutton half kg
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Onion 1 cup chopped
  • All spice 1 tsp
  • Chanay ki daal 1 cup
  • Masoor ki daal ½ cup
  • Toovar ki daal ½ cup
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Tamarind pulp ½ cup
  • Chili powder 2 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Water 1 cup
  • Green chili 6 whole
  • Cori leaves handful
  • Curry leaves handful

Method:

  1. Boil all the daals with half tsp turmeric and 4 cups of water till tender.
  2. In another pan heat oil, add onion fry till light golden.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste with all the dry spices and chopped tomatoes.
  4. Cook till tomatoes tender add mutton fry well add 2 cups water.
  5. Cover and cook till mutton tender.
  6. Add in the boiled daal with whole green chilies, coriander and curry leaves.
  7. Cook for 10 mins.
  8. Serve with boiled rice.
