Jheenga Masala Recipe by Gulzar Hussain

Ingredients:

  • Prawns 300 g
  • Onions 2
  • Garlic Paste 2 tbsp
  • Green Chilies 4-5
  • Yogurt 250 g
  • Cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • Crushed Red Chilies 2 tbsp
  • Curry Leaves 8-10
  • Tamarind ½ cup
  • Oil 4 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Tomatoes 4
  • Garlic Paste 1 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. Fry prawns with salt and garlic paste and set aside
  2. Heat oil in pan and fry cumin seeds
  3. Now add ginger and garlic paste and fry well
  4. Then add whipped yogurt
  5. Add red chilies, onions and tomatoes.
  6. Cook well
  7. Then add water and cook till the onions and tomatoes are tender
  8. When it’s ready, add prawns and green chilies and leave it to simmer
  9. In the end add tamarind paste and mix well
  10. Dish out, garnish with curry leaves and serve
