Kachay Masalay Ki Chicken Biryani

Ingredients:

 

  • Chicken 1 kg 12 pcs
  • Chili powder 3 tsp
  • Salt 1½ tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt 1½ cup
  • Lemon juice ¼ cup
  • All spice 1 tsp heaped
  • Cumin roasted and crushed 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1tsp
  • Chopped coriander 3 tbsp
  • Chopped mint 3tbsp
  • Ingredients for Rice
  • Boiled rice 750 gm with 3 tbsp salt
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 tbsp whole mixed spices
  • 1 tsp black cumin

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with all the above ingredients for atleast 4 hours, add in 1 cup brown onion, and keep aside.
  2. FOR RICE
  3. Boil rice with all ingredients till half done, drain the rice, and keep aside.
  4. Other Ingredients
  5. Potatoes ½ kg boiled, shallow fry it.
  6. Mint and coriander ½ cup
  7. Brown onion ½ cup
  8. Oil ½ cup
  9. ¼ tsp saffron
  10. ¼ cup milk
  11. TO ASSEMBLE
  12. Put the marinated chicken in a pot, add mint and coriander leaves, fried potatoes
  13. Add boiled rice, fried onion, oil, milk with saffron, cover pan
  14. Put on a tawa on high heat for 5 mins
  15. Medium heat for 15 mins, and on a very low flame for another 20 mins, mix well and serve.
