Khara Masala Gosht

Ingredients:

  • Mutton                                   700 gm
  • Onion sliced                           1
  • Garlic chopped                      2 tsp
  • Bay leaves                             2
  • Cinnamon stick                      1
  • Black cardamom                   1
  • Green cardamoms                2
  • Cumin seeds                          1/2 tsp
  • Garm masala                                     1 tsp
  • Ginger chopped                     1 tbsp
  • Yogurt                                    1 cup
  • Kashmiri chilli powder          1 tsp
  • Red chilli powder                  1 tsp
  • Turmeric                                1/4 tsp
  • Salt                                         to taste
  • Green coriander chopped (garnish)
  • Oil                                          1/4 cup

Method:

  1. Heat oil in pan fry onion and mutton till light golden brown
  2. Add all whole spices, salt, red chilli powder, Kashmiri chilli powder
  3. Add turmeric, yughert, ginger, garlic with 1 cup of water
  4. Covered pan and cook on slow flame till mutton is 80 % done.
  5. Now add garam spices, covered and cook again for few mints till gravy separates oil.
  6. Garnish with coriander leaves.
