Khichra
Ingredients:
Mutton 1 kg
Ginger Garlic Paste 3 tbsp heaved
Chili Powder 4 tbsp
Salt 3 tsp
Coriander Powder 4 tsp
Turmeric 1 tsp
Brown Onions 1 cup
Yogurt 1 cup
All Spice 2 tsp
Oil 1 cup
Pounded Wheat 250 gms
Daal Chana ½cup
Daal Arher ¼ cup
Moong Daal ¼ cup
Masoor Daal ¼ cup
Mash Daal ¼ cup
Rice ¼ cup
Coriander Leave to serve
Green Chilies to serve
Lemon Wedges to serve
Method:
Soak wheat over night. Soak all the daals togetherovernight and boil next morning until tender. Mash all the daals keep aside. Boil pounded wheat in 8 cups water until tender. Mash or blend mix with daals. Heat oil. Add ginger garlic paste, chili powder, salt, coriander, turmeric and fried onions. Add mutton. Cook for 15 mins. Add yogurt. Continue cooking. Add sufficient water to cook the meat until tender. Mix mutton with wheat and daal mixture all spice. Cook for 15 mins till all mixed. Give tarka with ghee and fried onion serve garnished coriander green chilies and lemon.
