Lahori Karahi Recipe by shireen Anwar

Ingredients:

  • Mutton 1 kg
  • Tomato (chopperized) half kg
  • Onion slices 1 cup
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Red pepper (crushed) 1 ½ tsp
  • Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • Water 2 cups
  • Garlic Water half cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup heaped
  • Coriander leaves 1 tbsp
  • Green chilies (chopped) 3
  • Ginger (sliced) 2 tbsp
  • Butter 8 oz
  • Black pepper powder 1 tsp
  • Allspice half tsp
  • Crushed coriander seeds 1 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. In pressure cooker puts 2 cup water with mutton, tomatoes, slice onion salt chili powder, crush red pepper, pressure cook for 20 min until just tender.
  2. Remove in a karahi add butter with mutton, yoghurt, keep frying till oils comes on top lastly add black pepper, allspice, crush coriander seeds green chilies and coriander leave.
