Maash ki Daal kay Dahe Baray

Ingredients:

  • white lentil                                   250g
  • Green chili                                    4
  • Cumin (chopped)                        1-1/2tsp
  • Salt                                                  1tsp
  • Ginger                                             1piece
  • All spices (powder)                     3/4tsp
  • Oil                                                    for frying
  • Asafetida                                       1pinch
  • Yogurts ingredients:
  • Yogurt                                             750g
  • Salt                                                  1tsp
  • Sugar (powder)                            2tbsp
  • Green chili (powder)                 1-1/2tsp
  • Dahi baray spices                       for garnishing
  • Sweet sauce                                 as required

Method:

  1. wash and soak white lentil for 3-4hours.
  2. Then drain some water and add salt, green chili, all spices powder
  3. Add ginger and cumin to set it for an hour atleast.
  4. Now whip it thoroughly and heat oil to fry and soak it in asafetida water.
  5. After a while drain water using your hands.
  6. Now add salt in yogurt, sugar and green chili to beat it properly.
  7. Now in a dish add some yogurt and baray and the rest of the yogurt.
  8. Lastly garnish it with dahe baray spices and sugar.
