Makhni Chicken Handi

Ingredients:

  • Chicken (Boneless, cubed) ½ kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Red Chili Powder 1 tsp
  • White Cumin (Roasted, ground) 1 tsp
  • Onion Paste 2
  • Salt To taste
  • Lemon 2
  • Green Chilies Paste 3
  • Coriander Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Black Peppercorns 1 tsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Butter 2 tbsp

Method:

  1. Heat 1 cup oil in a handi and add 3 raw and ground onions.
  2. Fry till they turn slightly pink.
  3. Now add ½ kg boneless chicken, 1 tsp turmeric, salt and 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste.
  4. Cook till the water in the handi is compleltly dried.
  5. Now add 4 finely chopped tomatoes, 1 tbsp crushed red chili and 1 tsp ground all spice.
  6. Cook well then add 1 tsp crushed black pepper,
  7. Add 1 tsp roasted and ground cumin and lemon juice.
  8. Leave the handi on dum and add butter before covering the lid.
  9. After 5 minutes add 2 tbsp finely chopped ginger,
  10. Add 6 green chilies and 1 bunch coriander leaves. Serve hot
