Muglai Kesar Murgh by Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Saffron ½ tsp
  • Cashew Paste 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Fennel ½ tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste 2 tsp
  • Milk 1 cup
  • Red Chili Powder 1-1/2 tsp
  • Coriander Powder 1 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Hing 1 pinch
  • Cumin Seed Powder ½ tsp
  • Salt 1 tsp
  • Ghee or Oil ½ cup

Method:

  1. In a saucepan heat ½ cup ghee or oil and add 2 tsp ginger garlic paste, when aroma is given out, add ½ kg chicken.
  2. Cook until golden brown. Now in a bowl add 1 cup yogurt, 1- ½ red chili Powder, 1 tsp salt, 1 pinch hing, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tbsp cashew Paste, ½ tsp chopped fennel, 1 tsp chopped coriander, ½ tsp chopped cumin seeds. Mix well.
  3. After this add chicken and cover for a while. When water is dried from the chicken then add ½ tsp saffron in 1 cup milk and add in chicken.
  4. Cook for 10 to 15 minutes and turn off the flame.
  5. Ready to serve.
