Palak Daal Gosht by Tahir Chaudhary

Ingredients:

  • spinach 2 cups, chopped
  • Beef 1cup, small chunk
  • Chana daal 1cup boiled
  • Onion 1 small, chopped
  • Garlic pods 2 to 3, minced
  • Ginger 1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder 2 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Red chili powder 1/2 tsp, or to taste (used 3 green chilies)
  • Turmeric powder a pinch
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil 4 tbsp

 

Method:

  1. Heat oil in a pan and fry the onions till they turn soft and transparent.
  2. Add the cumin, coriander, chilli and turmeric powders and fry for another minute.
  3. Mince the garlic and ginger together.
  4. Add to the above.
  5. Add the beef ,dal and very 2cup water.
  6. Keep covered and cook till meat tender and are almost done.
  7. Now add the spinach and some salt.
  8. Mix well and cook on a low flame for 15 to 20 mins.
  9. Palak dal gosht goes very well with chapatis, rice.
