Pao Bhaji Burgers by Zubaida Tariq

Ingredients:

  • Buns 6
  • Potatoes (boiled) 3
  • Peas (peeled) ½ cup
  • Cauliflower 1 small Flower
  • Carrot (grated) 1
  • Green Chilies (chopped) 4
  • Mustard Powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Red Chili Flakes 1 tbsp
  • Black Pepper (crushed) 1 tbsp
  • Cumin Powder (roasted) 1 tsp
  • Lemons 3
  • Mint Leaves 1 bunch
  • White Vinegar 2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • For Buns:
  • Chili Sauce 2 tbsp
  • Butter a small Packet
  • Warm Milk ½ cup

Method:

  1. Boil potatoes and cut them into cubes.
  2. In a pan, add in cauliflower, grated carrot and peeled peas and vinegar.
  3. Add in a little salt and steam it.
  4. Take them out and chop them.
  5. Add in crushed black pepper, red chili flakes, lemon Juice, salt, 1tbsp mustard powder, chopped green chilies and 1 tsp roasted cumin powder and mix it.
  6. Add in some oil in the pan, add in the mixture and stir fry.
  7. Toast the burger buns in the pan and spread 1 tsp milk on each of them to make them moist.
  8. Spread butter and 2 tbsp chili sauce.
  9. Add on the vegetables.
  10. Cover it with other bun.
  11. Cut it and serve.
