Peshawari Yakhni Recipe by Gulzar

Ingredients:

  • Chickens feets 1 kg
  • Chicken ½ kg
  • Garlic 4-5
  • Onion 1
  • Whole Turmeric 50 grams
  • Garlic Paste 1 tbsp
  • Turmeric Paste 1 tbsp
  • Butter 2 tbsp
  • Oil 2 tbsp
  • Salt to taste

 

For Masala:

  • Whole Black Cumin Seeds 1 tbsp
  • Cloves 2-3
  • Black Cardamoms Seeds as required
  • Cinnamon 2-3 sticks

 

Method:

  1. Take a cooking pan add 50 grams of turmeric powder.
  2. Then add 1 kg of chickens paw, 1 onion, 4-5 garlic cloves cook 4-5 hours on low flame when its ready take strain it the stock and separate the chicken paw’s.
  3. Take another cooking pan add2 tbsp of oil and 2 tbsp of butter, 1 tbsp of garlic paste, 1 tbsp of turmeric paste, to taste salt, ½ of chicken and roasted.
  4. Now cook the mixture until the chicken is done.

 

For masala:

  1. Take a blender jug add 1 tbsp of whole black cumin seeds, 2-3 cloves, as required black cardamoms, and 2-3 cinnamon sticks blend it to make a powder.
  2. Then take it out the stock in to serving bowl and sprinkle some masala on the top of it and serve it.
