Ingredients:
- Chicken ½ kg
- Salt to taste
- Coriander crushed 1 tbsp
- Onion 2 medium
- Turmeric ½ tsp
- Garlic 6 cloves
- Cumin powder 1 tsp
- All spice powder ½ tsp
- Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
- Black pepper powder ¼ tsp
- Dry fenugreek leaves 2 tsp
- Tomatoes boiled 3
- Water ½ cup
- Yogurt 125 gm
- Lemon juice 1 tbsp
- Green chilies 3 – 4
- Coriander leaves ¼ bunch
- Ginger chopped 1 piece
- Ghee ¼ cup
Method:
- In a pan put together ½ kg chicken, ½ cup of water, salt to taste
- Add 1 tbsp coriander seeds, 2 chopped onion and 6 cloves of garlic. Fry well for 2 – 3 minutes.
- Add 3 boiled chopped tomatoes, 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- Add ¼ tsp black pepper powder, ½ tsp turmeric, 1 tsp cumin powder and 125 gm yogurt, mix well.
- Cover and cook for 12 – 15 minutes.
- Then remove lid and fry over high flame.
- Add 2 tsp dry fenugreek leaves, 1 tbsp lemon juice, ½ tsp all spice powder, ¼ bunch of coriander leaves and 3 – 4 green chilies.
- Mix well, dish it out, garnish with ginger juliennes. Serve hot.
