Qeema Masoor Pulao

Ingredients:

  • beef minced                         750 gm
  • Red lentil                               500 gm
  • Chopped tomatoes              3
  • Tomatoes (sliced)                 2
  • Onion chopped                    3
  • Curry leaves                          2
  • Mint                                        1 bunch
  • Cumin                                     1 tsp
  • Black pepper                        5-6
  • Cinnamon                              2 sticks
  • Cardamoms                           3-4
  • Garam masala powder        1 tsp
  • Nutmeg powder                   ½  tsp
  • Mace powder                       ½  tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste               1 tbsp
  • Red chilli powder                 1 tbsp
  • Coriander powder               1 tbsp
  • Turmeric powder                 ½ tsp
  • Rice                                        1 kg
  • Green chillies                       5-6
  • Food color (yellow)             a pinch
  • Oil                                           1 cup
  • Clarified butter                     2-3 tbsp
  • Salt                                          to taste

Method:

  1. In a bowl soaked rice. Heat water in pan adds rice and boiled.
  2. In a separate bowl soaked red lentil and boiled.
  3. Heat oil in pan add onion, ginger garlic paste, beef minced, turmeric, cumin
  4. Add cinnamon stick, cardamom, black pepper and salt, sauté well.
  5. Add tomatoes, curry leaves, garam masala powder, nutmeg powder
  6. Add mace powder, red chilli powder, coriander powder and green chillies fry well.
  7. Add little water then add tomato slice and chopped mint. Add red lentil mix well.
  8. Then add layer of boil rice. Add layer of clarified butter.
  9. Then add yellow food color and simmer.
  10. When done dish out and serve.
