Qorma Pulao

Ingredients:

  • Rice ½ kg soaked
  • Mutton ½ kg
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder 1-½ tsp
  • Coconut 1 tsp
  • Cashew nuts 1 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds 1 tsp
  • Salt 2 tsp
  • Turmeric ½ tsp
  • Brown onion ½ cup
  • Yogurt 1 cup
  • Coriander powder 1 ½ tsp
  • Screw pine essence 1 tbsp
  • Allspice 1 tsp
  • Green chilies whole 4

Method:

  1. Grind together coconut, cashew nuts, poppy seeds, sesame seeds.
  2. Now mix with ginger garlic paste, chili powder, dhania, turmeric, marinate mutton with this paste.
  3. H eat oil, add brown onion with ½ cup water.
  4. Add the marinated mutton, cover and cook for 15 mins.
  5. Then add yogurt, cover and cook for another 10 mins, add 2 cups water, cook until mutton is tender.
  6. Add in the mutton, 3 cups water, boil, add in the soaked rice, cover and cook till done.
  7. Lastly add allspice, whole green chilies and kewra essence, leave it on done.
