Shrewsbury Biscuits Recipe by Zarnak Sidhwa in Food Diaries

Ingredients :
250 gm Flour
125 gm Butter
Pinch of Salt
125gm Caster Sugar
½ tsp Cinnamon Powder
1 tbsp Rose Water
1 Egg

Method :     
Sift flour add butter and work it in with your fingertips until the mixture resembles breadcrumbs. Add salt, caster sugar, rosewater, cinnamon powder and egg and mix well to form a dough. Roll out and cut into rounds with a cookie cutter. Prick with fork. . Bake in the preheated oven at 170 degrees C for about 15-20 minutes or until the biscuits are firm and a very light brown. Turn them over onto a wire rack to cool completely before storing in an airtight tin
