Spicy Chaanp Biryani

Ingredients:

  • mutton chops                     750 gm
  • Ginger finely chopped     1 tbsp
  • Garlic finely chopped      1 tbsp
  • Yogurt                                   1 cup
  • biryani masala                   2 tbsp
  • Red chili powder               1 tbsp
  • Roasted cumin                   1 tsp
  • Green chilies                       6 grinded
  • Green cardamom              ½ tsp grinded
  • Nutmeg                                ¼ tsp grinded
  • Anise star                             ½ tsp grinded
  • Brown onion                       1 cup
  • Tomatoes                            4 sliced
  • Green chilies                       6 julienne
  • Chopped coriander          ½ cup
  • Orange food color            a pinch
  • Boiled rice                           750 gm
  • Salt                                       to taste
  • Coal                                                 to give simmer

Method:

  1. Marinate chops with chopped ginger garlic, yogurt, biryani masala.
  2. Add chili powder, grinded green chili paste, roasted and ground cumin, grinded nutmeg.
  3. Add badyan, elaichi powder, leave it overnight. Heat ghee add brown onion with marinated chops.
  4. Now cover and cook till half done.
  5. Then add tomatoes with ½ cup water, fry well till tomatoes tender.
  6. In  a large pan put ¼ cup oil and ¼ cup water.
  7. Add chops mixture, chopped green chilies, top with boiled rice.
  8. Add ghee, brown onion, coriander leaves, color and kewra mixture, leave it on dum for 20 mins, mix and serve.
