Tangy Fish Fry

Ingredients:

 

  • Fish fillet                   1 kg
  • Oil                               2 cups
  • Chat masala             1½ tsp
  • Salt                             1 tsp
  • Lemon juice             2 to 3 tbsp
  • Ingredients for Batter
  • Gram flour               1 cup
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tbsp
  • White vinegar         ¼ cup
  • Turmeric                   ¾ tsp
  • Crushed red pepper 1 tsp
  • Chili powder                        ½ tsp
  • White pepper          ½ tsp
  • Carom seeds            1 tsp

 

Method:

 

  1. Wash and dry fish, marinate with salt and lemon juice
  2. Combine all the ingredients for a batter in a large bowl
  3. Add fish into batter.
  4. Heat oil in a wok,  deep fry fish in batches over moderate heat
  5. Remove sprinkle chat masala over fish and serve immediately.
