Tarka Achaari Murgh

Ingredients:

  • For marination:
  • Chicken                                                750 gram
  • Ginger garlic paste           1 tbsp
  • Salt                                         to taste
  • Red chili powder              1 tbsp
  • Cumin powder                  1 tsp
  • Lemon juice                       4 tbsp
  • Coriander powder           1 tbsp
  • Turmeric                              ¼ tsp
  • Oil                                           4 tbsp
  • Yogurt                                   ¾ cup
  • Ingredients for baghaar:
  • Mustard oil                         ½ cup
  • Whole red chili                  6-8
  • Green chilies                      6-8
  • Nigella seeds                     ½ tsp
  • Fennel seeds                     ½ tsp
  • White cumin                      ½ tsp
  • Fenugreek seeds             ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves                       10-12
  • Asafoetida                          1 pinch
  • Crushed ginger garlic      1 tbsp

Method:

  1. Put all marination ingredients on chicken and leave for 3 to 4 hours.
  2. Now add all mixture in a pan and cook on high flame.
  3. Then slow down the flame and cook until chicken get tender and water dries.
  4. Now heat mustard oil add whole red chili, asafoetida.
  5. Add curry leaves, green chilies and crushed ginger garlic and fry it slightly.
  6. Then add remaining ingredients and fry them little and pour them on chicken.
