Yogurt chicken by Shireen Anwar

Ingredients:

  • Chicken 1 kg 16 pieces
  • Yogurt 1 ½ cup
  • Crushed red pepper 1 ½ tsp
  • Salt 1 ½ tsp
  • Ginger garlic paste 1 tbsp
  • Soya sauce 2 tbsp
  • Wooster sauce 2 tbsp
  • Oil ½ cup
  • Capsicum 2 cut into square cubes
  • Onion 2 cut into square cubes
  • Tomato 2 cut into square cubes
  • Green chilies 6
  • Coriander leaves 2 tbsp
  • All spice ½ tsp

 

Method:

  1. Marinate chicken with yogurt , crushed red pepper, salt, ginger garlic paste, soya sauce and Wooster sauce for two hours.
  2. Heat ½ cup oil add in the marinated chicken.
  3. Cover and cook on low flame for 20 minutes.
  4. If required add ½ cup of water.
  5. Cover and cook till tender.
  6. In another pan heat 2 tbsp oil pan fry vegetables for just 2 minutes.
  7. Add to the chicken just before removing from fire.
  8. Serve garnish with all spice, green chilies and coriander leaves.
