Zafrani Koftay Recipe by Shireen Anwar

Ingredients:

  • Mince half kg
  • Onion 2 + 2
  • Ginger garlic 1 tbsp heaped
  • Allspice 1 tsp + ½
  • Roasted gram 2 tbsp
  • Poppy seeds 2 tbsp
  • Yogurt half cup
  • Saffron quarter tsp
  • Screw pine Water 1 tsp
  • Oil half cup
  • Chili powder 1+1
  • Salt 1 +1
  • Corinader powder 2 tsp
  • Cumin roasted & crush 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves 3 tbsp
  • Green chilies 3 – 4

 

Method for koftay:

  1. Boil half mince in 1 cup water when dries remove.
  2. Grind the raw and boil mince + 2 onion together in a chopper with grinded gram, poppy seeds, salt chili powder allspice.
  3. Mix well make into balls and shallow fry.

 

Method for Gravy:

  1. Brown onions grind the onions add to the oil with ginger garlic paste coriander cumin chili powder salt allspice and yoghurt fry well add 1 cup water add the fry koftas leave it on Dum lastly add allspice kewra and saffron.
