Zarda By Rida Aftab

Ingredients:

  • Rice (boiled)                    ½ kg
  •  Cardamom                             6
  • Sugar                                      250 gms
  • Ghee                                       250 gms
  • Whole Dry Milk                    250gms
  • Raisins                                     50gms
  • Coconut (chopped)               50gms
  • Ashrafiyan                               50gms
  • Almonds & Pistachios            100 gms
  • Kewra                                     ½ tsp
  • Yellow Food Color                ½ tsp
  • Saffron                                    ½ tsp

Method:

  1. Put rice in a bowl and add Yellow Food Color and water as required and boil it.
  2. In another pan, heat ghee and then add cardamoms and cook it.
  3. When aroma starts coming, then add sugar and water.
  4. When the syrup is ready, then add almonds and pistachios, saffron, ashrafiyan, raisins, coconut powder, whole dry milk, kewra and boiled rice and put it on simmer for 30 minutes.
  5. Delicious special zarda is ready.
